Elsa from Frozen was a great step in the right direction. Thankfully, also, Disney is catching up and being a little more transparent about who these characters are. Remember Ursula, Scar, and Hades? Yes, they are the villains most of the time, but don’t forget the Genie or Timon and Pumba! Representation might not always have been very visible, but through the queer coding lens, we got remarkable characters.
